My Health Coach Made Me Do It

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

6 months! A whole 6 months of having a health coach! It has made a HUGE difference in my life! I have greatly enjoyed having Kelli in my life and around to kick my hiney when necessary… and it was necessary a few times. With Kelli’s help, I’ve made a bunch of little changes to the way I live, the way I eat and the way I deal with stress. Nowadays, I like to ask myself WWKD or What Would Kelli Do?

Having a Health Coach Changed My Life! - BusyBeingJennifer.com

I’m not exaggerating when I say having a health coach changed my life. I’ll be honest, at first I was a little skeptical. I mean… someone ELSE telling me to eat better and write down my calorie intake and to stop eating chocolate was NOT what I wanted… but was sort of what I expected. I was wrong. SO wrong! And I am so glad that I was.

First we started with something simple. All I had to do was add more veggies! Yup. More veggies. More veggies at the grocery store, more veggies with each meal, more veggies as snacks. I might have *ahem* enhanced some of those veggies with a little ranch, but I ate veggies. Lots and Lots of veggies… and I still am!

We talked about stress, how I handled it, ways to cope, taking deep breaths and letting things go. Kelli encouraged my newly found love of yoga. She made me eat more veggies. I almost willingly started a food journal. I found daily routine that works really well for me. Kelli answered my questions about essential oils and ways to use them that would help me. We found ways to approach the complications that my auto-immune disease adds to daily life and the best ways to deal with flare ups.

My Health Coach made me rethink the way I look at things and even do somethings I didn’t really want to. But she knew I needed to… so I grudgingly went along. In the end she was right and the results were worth it! Don’t get me wrong, the past 6 months weren’t all lollipops and sprinkles. I had to work for the results I got, but with Kelli in my corner cheering me on and kicking my butt when needed, I far surpassed what I would have been able to achieve on my own!

Kelli was never farther than a phone call away and quick offer reassurance and help when ever I needed it… and I needed it on at least a few occasions!  To say my life has changed for the better in the past 6 months is an understatement.

I find myself  grateful beyond words to Kelli, her amazing skills as a Health Coach and the difference she made in my life. I am proud to consider her more than just my health coach, Kelli is also now a good friend and I can’t imagine life without our chats!

Oh, and those results? Down 23 pounds (and I didn’t gain over the Holidays!) and a whole bunch of inches. I’m also down 2 pant sizes 😀 I’m having far fewer flare ups! I am handling stress MUCH better and Its getting easier and easier to eat all those veggies 🙂

When in doubt ask yourself WWKD? Or What Would Kelli Do? Having a health coach can changed your life! >>

How cool! I would have had the same preconceived notions about a health coach, too. But handling stress is HUGE and something we all need to do better with, so it's fantastic that she's supportive and a good resource with that. And that you found something you enjoy!
