Works in Progress

Thisย post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosureย here.

It feels like ages since I’ve done a Works in Progress post. Oh wait! It has been for ever!!! I’ve been busy with life and furbabies and the husband. But I’ve still got lots of projects on the go ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t know how NOT to be juggling 5 or 6 projects at one time ๐Ÿ™‚

A little something valentines-y. Post coming soon!

I had this idea for a cool valentines project ๐Ÿ™‚ I started working on it yesterday and I imagine that I’ll have it finished today! Hoping to get it photographed so I can blog about it tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚

Sugar Skull paper pieced mini quilt top.

I signed up for a mini quilt swap again ๐Ÿ™‚ I was a little bit stumped when it came to what to make for my partner at first. All the info I really had was that she liked pink, pirates and Tula Pink Fabric. I did a little poking around on pinterest and came across a free paper pieced pattern for this skull! I’ll go into more details once I have the whole thing finished and posted ๐Ÿ™‚ But so far I’m loving it! Hope my partner does too!

new coin zippy combo for market

I whipped up a couple of these fun black and white hexi zips with sparkle hearts. I think this is my new favorite combo! I have enough of these fabrics to make 2 or 3 to add to the shop. Look for the listed soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Slowly but surely getting these paper pieced blocks done the new quilt I'm making

Paper Piecing can be absolutely tedious! So I’ve been slowly but surely adding a few pf these finished paper pieced blocks each week. I am hoping to have them all done in time to piece the top together when I go to the quilting retreat in February ๐Ÿ˜€ I can’t wait to see what it looks like put together!

My 2014 Christmas Quilt in progress

Confession Time: I haven’t finished my Christmas quilt yet. I think I got bored with it lol. Its kinda silly… but I really wanted to move onto other projects, plus I think I needed a break from sewing for a bit. So The center of the top is in 3 pieces and still pinned to my temporary design wall. I might have to take this to the quilting retreat as well and try to get it finished.

So there you have it! Some of the projects I’ve been working on… of course these projects are on top of all of the making I’ve been making I’ve been doing for the shop! Lots of hats, zippys, patchy bears and just stitched zips ๐Ÿ™‚

What have you been working on lately?

I LOVE the colors and design for that paper punching quilt (or whatever it is…I don’t know, but it’s gorgeous). But that skull quilt? Is genius. She’s gonna love it!
