So far 30 has been just Ok.

So far being 30 has been just ok. My actual birthday was mostly great! It started off with a Skype call with my sister and her baby ๐Ÿ™‚ Gosh How I love those two! Then I did my nails and headed out for lunch. Originally I was just going to take myself out for lunch, but a friend called and offered to treat me ๐Ÿ™‚ I met up with Denise and Faith at a Nostalgia, ย my favorite local place to get lunch, and we had a fabulous time!

The people I spent my Birthday with

After lunch I ran a few errands (BORING!) and did a little shopping! I love poking around the old antique/resale stores here in town… you never know what you’re going to find! This trip I stumbled across a darling vintage Strawberry Shortcake book. I’ve been collecting books for when my sister and niece are able to come for a visit.

Then I headed home. I was tired… and felt a little “off”. Didn’t think much of it… I chatted with my friend Jac (and sweet baby R, I took a nap, woke up talked with my Hubby, then face-timed with my Mom. I was feeling even worse. BUT I really wanted to go outside and read and “relive some of my childhood” … so I grabbed the things I needed, a couple of books, a snack and things to drink (mmmmm IBC cream soda!) and went out to my back yard.

The best way I could have ended my 30 birthday... busybeingjennifer.com

Other than the 1000 ants that were trying to eat me, it was a wonderful way to spend an hour… but I was steadily feeling worse. Eventually I gave in, packed it all up and went inside.

By 8 o’clock I knew I was having another full-blown flare up. The second in almost 2 weeks! I haven’t had any this close together since I was really sick right before I was diagnosed with colitis in 2010! The past 2 days have flown by… I’ve pretty much stayed in bed or curled up on the couch. I know I didn’t give myself enough time to recover after that first flare up almost 3 weeks ago now. That is definitely a big contributing factor. If I haven’t seemed to be “around” as much these past few days, that’s why… I’ve been sleeping… pretty much most of the day! But enough about the not so fabulous parts of being thirty… Before I went inside I got some pretty decent selfies for once! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I like this pic pf me.

Relaxing outside at the end of my 30th birthday

I love that first picture of me, I think I’ll add changing all my profile pics to the “when I feel better” to do list. In the mean time, you’ll find me chilling on the coach, working on some crocheted projects (if I’m feeling up to it) and watching some more classic movies on netflix!

Happy Friday!

Well Happy Belated Birthday although a flare up was not the kind of excitement you wanted. You have the most beautiful eyes. I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE Nancy Drew and the Hardy boys and had that same book when I was young..
