Getting To Know You – TXWB Link Party

Living in Texas has been a blessing in more ways that I can even begin to count! I’ve learned so much about myself, started blogging and met incredible people who inspire me daily. I’ve also been able to connect with local Texan bloggers through the Texas Women Bloggers Facebook Group and Community Site! As one of the community leaders I get to meet new bloggers, make them feel welcome and help plan amazing events (more about that later). If you’re a Texan blogger than I encourage you to check TXWB community out and join in on the fun!

Once a month we’re going to be doing a “Getting to Know You” link party. If you’re not a Texan, you’ll still get to learn interesting and sometimes random things about me. If you are a Texan than you can join in on the fun too!

 

1. What part of Texas do you call home?

I live in Bowie. Its an hour (ish) north of Fort Worth. Just a tiny, sleepy, little Texas town. Life here is pretty predictable.

2. How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging since I moved to Texas 2 years ago this past July. In fact, I have a giveaway celebrating my Blogiversay and Birthday going on now! You can check it out here.

3. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging as a way to connect with family back home. I quickly realized that it was also an amazing way to meet new people and make fabulous friends.

4. When we visit your blog, what can we expect to discover?

Totally depends on the day! Most of the time I’m talking about life in my little town, a project I’m working on, or the new things I’ve added to my shop. Sometimes I do reviews and lately I’ve been talking a lot more about fashion. I’m pretty much a whatever-catches-my-fancy kind of blogger.

5. How did you come up with your Blog Title and what is its meaning?

When I first moved here my blog was called “finding my way in Texas” not exactly catchy. Last year in September I decided to re-brand with something that could grow and change with me. I knew I wanted my first name in the title, but other than that I had no idea. I played around with it, tried different combinations of words, and then checked to see if the dot com was available. I basically stumbled into Busy Being Jennifer, but some how it fits perfectly. Everyday is a new chance to be me… and I’m always busy with something.

6. What do you love about being part of Texas Women Bloggers?

I’ve loved meeting new people, helping other bloggers connect and the chance to meet up in person.

7. Who inspires you to blog?

I can’t really say there is a person that inspires me. I really just do it for me. Its something that I never thought I’d love, but my day isn’t complete until I’ve done all my “bloggy to do’s”!

8. If you could pick a favorite blog post from this past year, what would it be?

Oh geesh… one post. Thats not fair! Since its to be only one post… I’ll go with my top viewed post of all time… Giveaways Have Rules!
