Multitasking Self Care Ideas

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

Sharing my favorite multitasking self care ideas and why they’re important for a busy entrepreneur, in partnership with Massage Envy.

If there is one thing I’m learning over and over again, as I pursue this creative entrepreneur life that we’re living, it’s that self care HAS to be a priority. It’s the only way to survive with any semblance of sanity!

But I also have to manage my time very, very carefully or I end up behind, and rather stressed about it. Multitasking self care is the way to go!

What do I mean when I say multitasking self care? I’m talking about things that are good for you, and with a focus on self care, but also are good for your for other reasons!

For example, I recently had the most amazing self care day with one of my good friends. We headed to Wichita Falls had coffee and pastries, went to Massage Envy for spa treatments (My friend got a massage and I got an amazing facial, and I’ll share more about that below), shopping, and lunch.

It was exactly what both of us needed and the best sort of relaxing way to start a week.

So the obvious self care in all of that, is the facial I got from Massage Envy’s esthetician, Ebony. It was relaxing body, soul and spirit, as well as good for my skin! 2 for the price of one!

This was also my first time getting a facial, so I asked a lot of questions, got some skin care answers I needed and walked away with a new skin care regimen. Ebony recommended some high quality skin care products to take care of the redness I haven’t ever been able to beat and the massive dark circles that were taking over my face. It’s been 4 weeks and I’m definitely seeing a major difference in my skin! (I’ve been updating via instagram stories regularly if you’re curious)

My friend and I also talked about different things and challenges we’re dealing with, a good ‘ole fashion heart to heart it you will. Confiding in a close friend is another type of self care. And the only thing shopping isn’t good for is my bank card 😉

But this is just one, if somewhat elaborate, form of multitasking self care. Lets talk about some others!

Multitasking Self Care Ideas for Busy Entrepreneurs:

Go for a walk.

Simple. I know, but its one of the easiest ways to multitask your self care! You’re walking, ideally outside ( sunshine is so good for you) and getting some fresh air! That’s a great way to wake your brain up if you’re feeling sluggish and you’re getting exercise, another win!

If you’ve got dogs, they need the walk too. Kick your self care up another notch and listen to a podcast or audio book while you do a couple laps of the neighborhood. I often come home from doing this with great ideas, renewed energy and a refreshed soul. It’s become one of my go to’s for when I’m in a slump and need to do something to shake things up.

Talk a Bath.

Another incredibly obvious, and easy to do self care idea. But don’t stop with just a bath, elevate it to a multitasking self care home spa experience! Add bath salts and essential oils – great for your skin, add a face mask, a few candles or diffuse some essential oils for aromatherapy, and grab a book.

Now you’re not only enjoying the relaxing heat of the bath, you’re nourishing your skin, pampering your senses and relaxing your mind (or inspiring depending on the book).

Take a Nap.

Not gonna lie, naps are pretty much my favorite form of self care. And you’re probably wondering how on earth you can add more purposes and activities to a nap… well…

For my best, most refreshing naps, I do more than just curl up in bed for 40 minutes. I also diffuse essential oils, specifically calming/grounding oils such as Orange, Lavender, or Peace & Calming for a little aromatherapy. Then I also turn on one of my favorite meditations. I let it play softly in the background while I relax. Even if I am not actively meditating the message and affirmations are absorbed by my subconscious. Win. Win. Win!

These are just 3 + 1 simple, but easy multitasking self care ideas to get you started! There are so many other ways you can add a little self care to your daily to do’s and tasks! It just takes a little creativity and flexibility!

If you’d like to give a little spa day a try or would like to experience the amazingness that is a Massage Envy facial, I’ve got a deal code for you! Use Promo Code: FACIAL20 for 20% off retail, good through the end of March. If you’ve never had a facial at Massage envy before, then I highly recommend you give it a try! I’ve got my next one booked and I am very much looking forward to it!

These self-care ideas seem easy enough. I just went on a walk and it not only made me feel better, it brought my son out of his funk.

I’ve got to be honest and say I took a nap this afternoon! I barely slept last night and just decided that if I wanted to feel refreshed by the time the kids got home from school I was going to HAVE to go back to bed for an hour. It was amazing!!
