Its a tale as old as time… Girl meets boy on the internet. Girl flies hundreds of miles to meet Boy. Boy proposes 5 minutes after meeting girl at the airport. Girl moves hundreds of miles away from home 4 months later. Ok, so our love story is a little unique… Let me go into a little more detail…
It was February 2011. A friend was in an online chat room that we occasionally hung out in. In saunters (metaphorically of course) a cute cowboy she new. She introduced us, making sure I knew he was a cowboy, cause I have a thing for cowboys. He called me that night, I missed the first call due to cruddy reception in my basement apartment, but the message he left started off with a “Hellooooo Darrrrling” with a deep Texas twang and I melted right then and there. We ended up chatting for hours that night and hours every night after for the next 2 months.
Over Easter weekend I came to Texas for a visit. He greeted me with one heck of a kiss and a marriage proposal 5 minutes later. I said “Yes!” with no hesitation whatsoever 🙂
After a wonderful weekend together, I headed back home 🙂 3 months of packing, sorting and good-byes later I moved to Texas for good! 6 Months later we made it official and tied the knot 🙂 This week we celebrated our third anniversary! Time has pretty much flown past these last few years. In the words of Taylor Swift…
And life makes love look hard,
The stakes are high,
The waters rough,
But this love is ours
In honor of our anniversary and Valentines Day, I’ve got a free printable with the perfect quote for our love story!

Thank you for sharing your story and the printable. I went for a job interview one day – there was a very handsome man that worked there. He saw me and told his coworkers that they needed to hire me and that one day I would be his wife. I guess he was not only handsome but very perceptive! I got the job, we started dating, I had to transfer because we started dating, we drove to Vegas and got married – The Silver Bells Wedding Chapel…This Thursday we will celebrate 26 years of marriage!

What a neat love story! Happy 3rd anniversary. Thanks for the printable; it's pretty. My husband and I met online as well. We married one year later and have been married for 12 years now.

Wow- that IS one heck of a connection! I don't think I'd trust my own instincts after only 2 months, but you (and he) clearly have chemistry considering it's been 3 years already. Congratulations! And thanks for sharing a pic where we can see his eyes at last. 😉
(and his sense of humor- yay!). Cowboys ARE sexy, it's true. The first (and only) time I went country line dancing, I about imploded from all the tight jean, boot-wearing, hat-wearing, twangy, respectful, lanky boys on the dance floor. Good job, you!

How incredibly romantic and sweet your story is! As a hopeless romantic it always touches my heart to hear such great love stories! I was married last April and I almost used the saying in the printable for some of our wedding stuff, including our invitations but being the writer that I am I came up with something more unique, just as our love and relationship have been!
Thank you for linking up to the Oh My Heartsie Girls Wordless Wednesday Linky Party!
Wishing you a fabulous week!
Much love,
Lysa xx
