Gettin’ Healthy with #NoExcuses

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my sweaty face a time or two over the past month 🙂 In July I participated in a FANTASTIC fitness challenge put together my my friends Ange, from Hairspray and Highheels and Taylor, from Pink Heels Pink Truck. The goal was to complete 75 miles in 31 days. Let me tell you… it was indeed a challenge!

I started off the challenge by getting my gym membership back and getting my butt on the elliptical! I’ve tried to make little changes along the way, better food choices, lots more water and the gym at least 3-4 times a week.

I’ve had so much more energy the past few weeks and have been enjoying lots of outdoor puppy play time. We’ve taken walks and gotten much better at playing fetch. 🙂

I gotta admit there were days where I wasn’t sure I’d meet the challenge deadline. I was tired, or sore, or just plain being lazy. Other days were amazing… I pushed myself harder, longer, faster and saw results! I discovered I LOVE the pilates/yoga class thats offered at my gym. I NEVER in a million years thought YOGA would be something I’d like… let alone look forward to 🙂 I’ve also be using Purple Tiger to help boost my metabolism ( <– affiliate link) and give me more energy 🙂

The August #NoExcuses challenge is going to be a doozey! 1500 minutes of planned exercise (gym, fitness classes, DVD’s etc. Stuff like cutting the grass doesn’t count) might be a challenge… especially if I get to go with the Hubs on the road at the end of August. So I’m gonna work extra hard and rack up as many minutes as I can before then, just in case. I REALLY want to crush this challenge!

The Results so far –> I’ve lost 10 pounds and pretty much all my clothes are getting really loose! I gotta tell you it feels pretty good 🙂 I can’t wait to see the results over the next month!

FANTASTIC JOB! I need a good kick in the rear! Hoping when my youngest is gone back to uni in two weeks I'll get inspired! I love the trainers and red cheeks – looks very healthy to me! Keep it up!
