Works in Progress

Thanks have been INSANE around here! Not that the insanity will shock you any more… but seriously. When did my life get so crazy?? Oh wait… I remember… it got crazy right around the time I decided to do the local market year round… what was I thinking??? Anyhooo…. I just sent my husband back to work for another 3 weeks or so and I’m picking up the production pace since I didn’t get nearly enough done while he was home. I will admit to enjoying the little bit of  a break and the quality time 🙂 It was kinda nice to just relax with him for a few days 🙂

On to the stuff I’m working on!!

I did manage to get some stitching done over the past 3 day. I’ve got 6 new “Just Stitched” zippy fronts ready to be turned into adorable zips! I’m hoping I might find another hour or 2 to stitch up at least 6 more. I’m running low!

Ouchie owls in progress! - BusyBeingJennifer.com

The girly and pink Ouchie Owls always seem to be the first to go! So I’ve got a batch of 20+ owls that are almost completed and they’re mostly girly! With a few fun new novelty fabric ones thrown in 🙂 These little guys are definitely a best seller at market weekends!

Crazy Quilting Day at Sunset Retreat - BusyBeingJennifer.com

Last week I took a day off from pretty much everything, dropped the puppy off at my in-laws and went to the local quilting retreat center for 12 hours on insane sewing!! I had a blast, got 2 quilt tops done and started putting together some of the squares for the quilt I’m making for my birthday 🙂 I can’t show you EVERYTHING that I worked on since the first project is a gift, but I can show you this vintage sheet quilt top thats now put together 🙂

The picture isn’t the most stunning quality, but hey, at least you get the idea right? This is before its all sewn together, but I LOVE the solid grey paired with the different pink vintage sheets from my collection! I’m thinking of doing another top exactly the same, but with blue vintage sheet squares! I haven’t decided if I am keeping this one or if it will be going in the shop once its complete… we’ll see!

Told you things have been busy!! Time to get back to making things for this Market Weekend!!

Oh and PS! I will be shutting the online store down for about 6 days starting tomorrow! Everything will be restocked and open on Tuesday! Just in time for some birthday fun! There will be giveaways and discounts for a whole week!! But I can’t guarantee that the stuff listed now, will be available then!! So if there is something you NEED, order it today!!
