Perfect for unwinding, this white russian coffee features a homemade kahlua that is DELISH! Warm and cozy, its hard to beat this coffee flavored goodness!
Its no secret that I have a strong and abiding love for coffee. Most days its the way I start my morning and my favorite part of that routine.
But my love for a good cup of coffee isn’t restricted to mornings. In fact, on occasion, I like to add a little something-something to spice things up and unwind at the end of the day.
I shared a recipe for an Easy Instant Pot Homemade Kahlua earlier this week that is so delicious. It’s the perfect alcoholic additive to spice up my evening cup of coffee or even a cool cocktail (depending in the day, the temperature, and stress levels).
What You Need to Make White Russian Coffee
(the numbers in the ingredients list are in ounces and the amount will depend on the size of the cup or glass you use. This recipe is for 1 10-ounce cup or rocks glass)
- 5 ounces coffee
- 2 ounces of Kahlua coffee liqueur
- 1-ounce vodka
- 2 ounces of heavy cream
How to Make Easy White Russian Coffee
Add hot coffee to your mug or cup.
Add your homemade Kahula, vodka and cream. Stir to mix completely.
Top with whipped cream if desired, and sprinkle with cocoa powder (and in my world, it’s always desired). Hot chocolate powdered mix works in a pinch too!
The best part about that Instant Pot Homemade Kahlua recipe I shared, is that it’s deliciously versatile! There are a ton of ways to put it to use and I’ve got an extra one to share with you in this White Russian Cocktail!
How to Make a White Russian Cocktail
Fill glass with crushed ice. Add Kahlua and vodka and stir (no coffee in this one). To get layered effect, pour the cream off the back of a spoon.
Don’t both of these look absolutely scrumptious!? If it’s a warm day, this white russian cocktail is the perfect option! If you’re seeking something warm and cozy, you can’t go wrong with a white russian coffee!
Whats your favorite alcohol to add to coffee when you want to relax a bit and sip something warm?
*Please drink responsibly.
