We’ve got the Sickies!

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

It all started with the husband… as it usually does around here. He started sneezing, then coughing, then whining! And of course in just a few days, I was the one sneezing, coughing and whining! This bout of gosh awful cold/flu junk has completely derailed my Christmas decor and project list. I don’t even the TREE up yet! Sigh. The Sickies

The last 4 days have been filled with naps, kleenex, cold meds, hot tea, a whole lot of doing nothing and an occasional hot toddy.

I’ve come to the conclusion that is the WORST time of year to be sick! And I haven’t exactly kept a good attitude about the whole thing :s Today I sucked it up forced myself into some Christmas Cheer and packaged up the things I gathered for the Homespun Happiness Christmas Project recipients!

Homespun Happiness Christmas Project Packages are in the mail - BusyBeingJennifer.com

Gift cards, hand made goodies, some gifts that my friend Beth (bless you sweet girl!) and a little note telling them they’re loved this Holiday season! It did my sickly little heart good to get these packages in to the mail! A HUGE thanks to wonderful people who donated and contributed to my little project! I can’t wait to do it again next year! 🙂

I’m definitely back in the Christmas Spirit… even if I can’t breathe through my nose yet…

I hope all of you feel better soon. It does suck to be sick during Christmas. We've had the flu tear through this house during Christmas.

Just think old school! I used to be a great tradition to put the tree up Christmas Eve 😉

Awww, this is not a fun time to be sick! Hope you get well soon. Dec. 25th is when everyone else celebrates Christmas, you can celebrate later if you need to. No rules. 🙂

I'm so glad you got into the Christmas spirit!! It's so frustrating being sick and knowing all the stuff you want to do….not to mention just feeling good and cheery during this time of year. I noticed that we have the same coffee cup. It has become my favorite one!! Hope you feel better soon!!
