Strawberry Shortcake Trifle

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

Recently my sister sent me a picture of a dessert she had made for Sunday dinner. It looked so good, that I demanded more pics and the recipe so that I could share it with my readers! Now that its summer time, I’m eating TONS of fresh berries! They are hard to beat when it comes to summery foods… layer them into a delicious trifle and they become even yummier!

Ingredients:
– angel food cake
– 4 cups of vanilla pudding
– 24 oz. frozen strawberries – let thaw and sprinkle with sugar
– tub of whipped cream
– optional: fresh strawberries to use to garnish the top

Tear angel food cake, or in this case dessert shells, into medium size piece.
Layer angel food cake pieces, strawberries, pudding and whip cream in a glass bowl. Continue to layer until bowl is filled.
Finish by topping with a solid layer of whip cream.
If you want, slice up some strawberries and and garnish on top.
Refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours before eating so that all the flavors absorb. Enjoy.
