Happy Long Weekend!!!
That’s something to smile about right?? I’ve decided to start a once-a-month post and share some of the things I have to smile about 🙂 So here goes nothing…
Hubs was home for an ENTIRE week! While thats not so awesome for the budget, it is definitely something to smile about since he’s been on the road so much lately. We definitely needed the casual down time together. And while we didn’t do anything exciting, just being together, puttering around the house and relaxing, was exactly what we needed to recharge! Even if he was sick for a couple of those days… :s
I got my studio organized again! Well…. mostly organized! Here’s the Before…
And the After…
Quite a change right? I even found fabric that I’d completely forgotten about!! Yippee Skippy!
Hubs and I have been discussing the possibility of getting an out building and turning it into a dedicated studio space! Mostly because we need the room in the house, but also because I need a dedicated space to keep and organize all the fabric, stuffing and zippers! We’re looking at a 6 to 9 month timeline to be able to save up enough to have a decent sized building delivered, installed and the interior finished! I’m sure I’ll be doing some sort of fundraising something eventually! Y’all will be the first to know when I do! 🙂
My last something to smile about… I’ve made a decision regarding future 2nd Monday Markets (this is the monthly market I’ve been setting up at for the past 2 years)… December will be my last month with my handmade goods! I’m looking to increase my online presence and sales, and get away from having to rely on this in person market. Plus its going to take a lot of pressure off me to have large quantities of inventory available! I’m planning at least one epic Christmas Instagram Sale in December to help clear out any access inventory 🙂
So there you have it! Just a couple “somethings to smile about”! I’d LOVE to here what has you smiling these days! Please share below 🙂
That’s great that your hubby was home for awhile. I, on the other hand have had my hubby home too long. LOL!! Thankfully he has a business trip coming up. I adore him, but am used to him traveling a lot for work. So I’m smiling!! Stacie xo
I know the feeling!! After about the 4th day I am sort of ready to get back into my routine… I’m used to being pretty much alone! LOL
You’re making great changes and I have my fingers crossed that you get a dedicated space!
Congrats on getting the clutter cleaned up!! I need to do that so badly. And double congrats on moving away from markets! They’re so tough on us makers… But sometimes a necessary evil. Im excited for uou to grow your web presence!
