Signs of Spring

Once the weather starts to warm up, there are few things I love more than grabbing my “big girl camera” and taking a little walk. I didn’t make it out of my yard this first trip, but then again, I didn’t really need to! There are signs of spring all over the place and it took me less than 5 minutes to find a few things to photograph!

Flips flops in the grass... definitely my favorite sign of spring - busybeingjennifer.com

It might seem silly to snap a few pics of your feet, but for me, the first flip flop wearing of the year is a big deal. Not to mention that these babies have been all over the globe with me and have lasted over 6 years… so they might not have many springs left in them!

Tiny little purple flower in my yard - more signs of spring! - BusyBeingJeninfer.com

I have absolutely no idea what kind of grass (weeds??) we have in the yard, but every spring we end up with a smattering of these itty-bitty purple flowers. They’re so tiny I have to get on my hands and knees and zoom all the way in to even get a distinguishable shot!

Again, my sadly lacking kowledge of the local flora comes into play here… but my neighbor has this beautiful tree that flowers every spring. Its right in the corner of the property and is a favorite with the local hummingbirds 🙂 I couldn’t help but snap several angles and depths. These flowers were begging to be documented and remembered! In the past 3 days, the tree has bloomed even more! I’m hoping to snap some more shots before the flowers are gone in a week or so.

Spring is well on its way, The flowers are blooming and we’re on the hunt for signs of Spring!

We had one of those trees at our previous home. Loved to see it bloom every year!

Yay Spring! The cherry blossoms are our first harbinger, then the tulips and irises (and tulip trees). I really do love all that color!
