30. Its here! Well almost, it will actually be here tomorrow… Its going to be a rather uneventful day. Just me, myself and I. Oh I’ll chat with my family and do a little online shopping, I’m even going to take myself out for a nice lunch, but it will be just me… no party… YET!
I’ve been dreaming of the perfect party to celebrate the beginning of my 30’s for a long time, but everything I’ve planned/thought of/dreamed about ends up being an outside party! I live in Texas, outside parties in August aren’t a very good idea. AT ALL! So I’ve started a Pinterest Board for all my Birthday Party ideas, and I’m looking into planning something in October when its cooler. In the mean time I’m still dreaming of the perfect party atmosphere and of course the perfect party outfit! (some affiliate links used)
I am absolutely in love with this pastel dinner party set up (from Style Me Pretty). Its pretty and girly and just a little bit vintage. Perfect for me right? I can just imagine all my friends sitting at that table around sunset, eating yummy food and having a fabulous time! I have no idea what I’d do for food but I’d wear this outfit…

I’m absolutely in love with that lace dress! And those shoes! YUM!!
When I was searching for adult party ideas I came across this pin, after a bit of searching I discovered You + Me’s post about a retro inspired picnic party! I am loving this idea! Lord knows I have enough quilts to pull it off! I can just picture my backyard all decorated, full of friends, yummy quilts and delicious food. Of course this type of party would require a retro inspired outfit of its own…

That dress! That gorgeous, amazing, retro DRESS!! I want, no I NEED that dress!!! and the shoes. and the earrings. and the clutch. Okay. I want it all! But especially that dress!
I have some pretty grand ideas for this party of mine… turning 30 deserves grand ideas… and now that I’ve got some time to plan it all out and get the things I want to make it perfect, my mind is going crazy! I pretty much want to combine my entire party planning pinterest board and make it a reality. Totally doable right? Obviously I’m going to have to have a chat with my hubby about what I want and when I want to do it… in the mean time I’ll keep dreaming and planning!
Have you turned 30? What did you do to celebrate?

Love the black dress!!
That dress is simply gorgeous! Your idea for planning a party later sounds like a good one. I'm hoping to do a surprise party for my husband's 30th next year.
That will be a great party. My birthday was Monday and I had lunch at Red Lobster. Happy Birthday to us!

Happy belated Birthday. Hope you had a fantastic time!
These are really nice ideas…My sister and I used to have themed parties, but they were NOT girlie or pretty….I don't think you would like our ideas. LOL
The floral dress is so pretty!
I absolutely adore the first set up!!
I turned 40 this year but my 30 was also a bit subdued. Dinner with friends. It is all I wanted and it was great. My birthday is in July so garden parties in Houston in July would be a no-no. But a spring one would be wonderful. Love the Take a Seat Idea
