Well. Now that I’ve somewhat recovered from this past market weekend, I thought I’d share some of what I saw, discovered and sold! 🙂
As usual I got most of the setting up done on Friday afternoon. It makes Saturday morning go so much smoother and allows me to sleep an extra 15 -30 minutes. And we all know just how much I love my sleep 😉
This month I changed up my display (again) and moved the big old trunk to stand on its own, on top of a stool from home. You can just see the corner of it in the bottom right corner. I used to have it on the table near the wall. Moving it gave me an extra 2 feet of table space! I’ll definitely be doing that again 🙂
I got a couple of requests from customers last month for flat cross necklaces. This is what I came up with. I’m hoping to find someone to play model for me soon so I can get them in the shop!
A couple of weeks ago I picked up a plain black hoodie, planning on stitching or gluing or painting something on the front to make it more interesting. Then I forgot about it… until Friday when I was setting up and started talking to one of the other vendors there. They specialize in custom heat transferred shirt and hoodie designs… They said they could whip something up with my shop name, so I brought the forgotten hoodie with me on Saturday. Less than 20 minutes later, I had it back, and was sporting my new hoodie most of the weekend!
I discovered a couple of other vendors that I hadn’t met before and fell in love with their creations! The first was Clint from Global Woodcrafters. The amazing frames and art above is all hand crafted by him! I was pretty tempted to steal the whole table with the Chalkboard frame and snowmen and bring it home with me 🙂
One of the other new things I discovered is Water Carved Creations. They make these amazing pieces of art out of stone and somehow slice through it with a water-saw-thingy (gotta love my “technical” terms). I was particularly drawn to that cross and the maple leaf. These pieces are almost something you have to see to truly appreciate… the cut edges are perfectly smooth! I can just imagine a few of these pieces hanging around my home!
All in all it was a successful, but exhausting weekend! I sold a ton of hats, several bracelet sets and a whole bunch of Ouchie Owls. I’ve got a little less than 2 weeks now to get caught back up on inventory before the next event! I’m gonna be one busy blonde!
Looks like an amazing event! Love the hats:)))
