My One Little Word for 2020 — BE

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

I usually start thinking about my One Little Word around August… it’s my Birthday month and it tends to get my brain going. I knew then that I wanted something different for 2020.⠀

This year I'm not writing <a href=resolutions or planning traditional goals. I’m dialing into who I want to be in 2020 and this year my one little word is BE!” class=”wp-image-19583″/>

This year I’m not writing resolutions or planning traditional goals.

I’m not writing them down because I already know what my goals are, down to the minute details! I am constantly tweaking, evaluating and re-setting the goals that will move me towards my best life already. So it seemed a little redundant to write them down again.

2020 is going to be the year of BE and I will be…⠀

This year I'm not writing resolutions or planning traditional goals. I'm dialing into who I want to be in 2020 and this year my one little word is BE!

After dialing in on who I wanted to BE this year, I took some time to write out what each of these words/character traits mean to me. I also wrote about how they’ll guide me this year.

It was quite an inspiring journaling session. I’ve been building upon that foundation each morning with more journaling.

This week I also tweaked my morning routine to make sure I am starting each day on the best possible footing. Instead of getting sucked into my phone and social media before I even get dressed ( I could easily get distracted there for an hour or more), I’m turning on a morning meditation and getting my mind in alignment.

Three days into this new morning routine and I am already feeling the benefits!

This year I'm not writing resolutions or planning traditional goals. I'm dialing into who I want to be in 2020 and this year my one little word is BE!

If you want to follow along my journey, I’ll be using a hashtag this year >> #theyearofBE on social media. I’ll be using it on posts related to personal development, goals, goal setting, my business, books I’m reading and anything else that fits. Since I have 3 Instagram accounts for my different businesses, it’ll be a central place to get an overview of how the year is progressing.

I am excited, nervous, happy and thrilled with everything I am planning on accomplishing this year. 2020 is going to be an epic ride and I am loving my one little word!

Who will you BE in 2020?⠀
