Life Lessons from Duck Dynasty

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

If you haven’t heard of A&E’s latest hit show Duck Dynasty, then you’ve probably been living under a rock! Maybe its my newly found Texan-ness / the redneck-ness that has rubbed off on me from my husband, but I freaking love this show! Every single episode has me laughing my butt off and always smiling when the whole Robertson family gets together for a meal at the end of each episode. The fact that they pray ON TV makes it even better!

I’ve been watching since the show first aired and I’ve learned some valuable life lessons that I feel I need to share with y’all! <— the texan-ness is coming out!

do it quickly

Do it quickly… mostly true!

nap hard

I think this is my life motto… just sayin 😉

low tech manThere is absolutely nothing wrong with leaving all the gadgets and technology alone for a while. I’m not expert at it, but I am trying to get better!

high school reunion

There is a reason why people from your past are in your past and its absolutely ok that they stay there!

 blow it up!

This one is purely for the benefit of my hubby.

makeup can hide a lot of evil

Relax! You don’t have to look perfect all of the time! Letting your hair down, taking a break and just being youself is a good thing 🙂

take ya a nap

Can I get an Amen? Seriously! Life is going by faster and faster. If we don’t stop to enjoy simple every day moments, we’ll be old and grey before we know it!

yuppie girls

Get dirty, do something a little crazy and have some fun!

I have to say this is also my favorite show on TV…Nothing better and we have watched it from the beginning as well….I don't even know where to start with favorite lines….I do like that every time trouble is around Phil just walks away! Like when they were caught catching frogs at the country club, when they were fishing on the Judges property and the game warden showed up….Whenever my husband is in a not so great mood I just put on Duck Dynasty! When my grandson was learning his alphabet he would say something that started with each letter and when he would get to D he would say quite loud "Duck Dynasty"…Love, love, love it!

Bless you for posting this. I'm in love with EVERYTHING about this show. One of my Texan friends drove to Oklahoma to see them live and said that their love of Jesus just radiates in everything they talk about. I love that they pray on TV every episode and I've even start praying "thank you for another day on planet Earth and I pray we get to know you just a little more each day!" at supper time 😉

I LOVE the show too! It''s actually one show that my ENTIRE family can agree to sit down and watch (which is a rarity!)
I love the entire theme of their show – Back to the Basics, and Keep it Simple… JACK!
