Handmade Love: Coco and Cocoa

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

Welcome to another edition of Handmade Love!! This week I’m featuring Julie from Coco and Cocoa! Julie is a total sweetheart, a fellow Texan and LOVE to make things from yarn, just like me 😀 Oh and cause Julie is just that awesome, there is a shop credit giveaway!!

Handmade Love Coco and Cocoa on BusyBeingJennifer.com

Tell us about how you got started…

About 10 years ago I fell in love with yarn. It was soon after my twins were born. I was looking for a hobby. Something that could just be mine. Something to do in those quiet moments.

My husband bought me one of those teach yourself to knit books. I sat on the bed with my yarn and needles and read the book. It took some time, but I was so excited when what I was seeing on my own needles started to look like the pictures in the book.

What inspires your creative process? Why do you do what you do?

My biggest why is my three boys. A chance to make things with my hands, while being home with them as much as possible, is the biggest blessing.

Their energy and excitement inspire my work. I love using bright colors and unique combinations.

LOVE that hat! I am constantly so amazed at how creative people can be… Give me a ball of yarn and I'll never know what to do with it, haha.
