I am so excited to be a contributor for Busy Being Jennifer! I am Kelli, a Health Coach, and will be posting monthly about health and wellness. I’m sure you are wondering what a Health Coach does, so I’m going to tell you. I help people regain their health, energy, and live their life without stressing over every bite of food they take. I work one on one with each client and personally tailor each program to fit their goals and health needs. You can find more information about me at www.kellifreese.com. When I’m not working with clients I am chasing after my five (yes, you read it right,FIVE) kiddos or attempting to read a book.

Get those veggies in - busybeingjennifer.com

When January rolls around everybody turns to making lists of resolutions. One of the top resolutions every year is to lose weight, some people add numbers to it; the main ones being 10, 20, and 50 pounds. Other people simply write lose weight or get healthy and leave it at that. Unfortunately by March most of these resolutions are gone and forgotten and the lists aren’t revisited until the end of the year.

This year I challenge you to change the norm. Let’s work together and lose that weight and achieve the health that you want!

One of the first things I do with my clients is not to start a diet but to tweak how they are currently eating. So your first assignment is to add in more veggies every day. If you are eating eggs for breakfast; add in half of a cooked, diced sweet potato, a handful of spinach, two sliced mushrooms, and half of a diced zucchini. At lunch pack some vegetable soup and a salad. For dinner eat some roasted cauliflower and half of an avocado with a pork chop or try making your own stir fry. You are aiming for 5-9 servings of veggies a day by the end of January.

These are great tips for adding in more veggies! 🙂 I am the queen of being sneaky with veggies when it comes to my family. I even trick them with desserts, lol. 😉
