Animal INspired

Animals are adored by billions, whether we can have them as pets or admire them from afar. And it is this collective affection for animals that inspires many designers to come up with breath-taking creations that pay homage to their favorite animals. Leopard spots are an ideal print for leggings, you can find cute cushions with unicorns, and there are even bingo sites that are styled on cows.

Along with the above examples, there are many other ways in which animals can inspire design. Here, though, the focus will be one animal-inspired DIY projects. Just think about the multitude of household items present in the average home. There is so much that an animal lover can do to make their home even cuter.

Animal Magnets for Your Fridge

Not every fridge is a colorful creation, but thankfully there is a simple solution. Start off by going to a toy store and finding some small plastic animals. But before you choose them, make sure that you can stick a circular magnet to the side. Your next task is to visit a craft store to buy strong glue and some small magnets.

After arriving home, you can glue each of the magnets to your animals and leave them to dry. A few hours later and you will be able to stick them to your fridge and create your very own animal sanctuary. While you might love your animal magnets as an adult, you will be astonished by the reaction of kids.

Animal Gift Boxes

Buy some extra animals during your trip to the toy store and you can get extremely creative with your gift boxes. For the boxes themselves, you can use show boxes or else buy new gift boxes online or from craft stores. What you will also need is some paint to decorate the box.

A two-tone style works best for your animal gift boxes. Pick a more laid back color for the larger portion of the box, but then decorate the lid of the box with something more colorful. Let the box dry and then use the glue from the magnets and stick the animal to top. You can then leave the animal as they are or else choose to paint them as well.

Animal Fans

Learn to love the craft store, as you have another reason to visit. One of the cutest DIY ideas we have come up with is to purchase fans and then decorate them as our favorite animals later. In addition to the fans, you also need a fine paintbrush and the paints you require. Then it’s a matter of painting your fan to resemble the animal, and you will have cute fan to keep you cool on warm days.

Bunny Slippers

Knitting enthusiasts can try their hand at making adorable bunny slippers. You can speed up the process by purchasing cozy slippers in the color of your dream bunny. A trip to the craft store will then help you find material for the ears, eyes, nose, and tail. Aside from attaching the ears, everything is a breeze. The ears will require a little more attention as you craft them into shape and then sew them to the slippers.

Mice Pincushions

Find the tiniest cushions possible and you will be ready to create these adorable pincushions. Again, attaching the ears will be the difficult part, but it is definitely doable with a little practice. Attaching a tail and drawing on the adorable eyes, mouth, and whiskers will give you a completed mouse pincushion.
There is no limitation to Animal-inspired DIY projects. Don’t be afraid to try your own ideas!
