101 Handmade Days: Christmas Antlers Pillow

If you follow me on instagram, you would have seen some sneak peeks of a project I was working on 🙂 Originally I was planning to use silver metallic thread… but things didn’t go quite as planned… But this project still turned out awesome and I am in LOVE with my Christmas Antlers Pillow!!

Instead of the planned silver metallic thread, I ended up going with a bright white thread. It pops off the red and white polka dot fabric perfectly and I love the way it turned out!

To make this Christmas Antlers Pillow you’ll need…

Low Volume Christmas colored fabric (Low Volume refers to the fact that its a subtle or mild print)

Embroidery Thread in your chosen color.

Antler Template (unless you rock at drawing… which I do not!)

Washable fabric marker

Embroidery needle

Scissors

This pillow cover uses the same pattern as the Easy DIY Envelope Pillow Cover. Use the same fabric dimensions as specified.

Find the center of your fabric piece and use the washable fabric marker to transfer or draw the antlers onto the fabric.

Thread your needle and backstitch around your antler template. Finish off by securing and tucking your thread ends.

To turn your stitched fabric into an envelope pillow cover, follow the directions in this post.

And Voila! You’ve made your very own Christmas Antlers Pillow! Don’t thing your DIY or sewing skills are up to snuff on this project? Never fear!! I’ve added this pillow to my Handmade Shop and I’m thinking I might even add another fabric option… we’ll see what I come up with over the next few days!

Super cute pillow! I’ve been loving all of the antler decor that’s in style right now and this goes along with that perfectly! I only know how to sew pillows, so this is the perfect diy project for me, lol! Thanks for sharing!
