I am not much of a jewelry wearer – I have my favorite pieces, a few rings, a couple necklaces and half a dozen earrings that I like to wear regularly. Its not that I don’t like jewelry… its just that if I don’t think I’ll wear it – or REMEMBER to wear it – I won’t spend the money on it (I’d rather buy fabric *giggle*). Also, my jewelry display/holder situation has been a mess. It was all basically thrown in a little plastic bin. And that, my friends, is not conducive to this blonde remembering to add it to the day’s outfit! So I decided to remedy that with this super easy DIY Burlap Jewelry Display!
I grabbed a Burlap Canvas at Walmart (available on Amazon too!) I already had the rest of the supplies in my stash. You’ll need a piece of lace about 16 x 16 inches. 3 small screw in hooks, tape and spray paint in your choice of color.
Place the lace over top of the burlap canvas. Tape it tightly to the back of the frame. Then spray paint over the lace evenly. You’ll want 3 – 4 even coats so that the pattern shows up on the burlap. Once its completely dry, remover the spray painted lace and screw in the hooks at even intervals. Make sure they’re facing forward. Then hang on your wall!
See! I told you this was an easy project! And these days I am ALL about the easy projects! I love the way this burlap jewelry display looks next too my dresser and its a GREAT reminder to add a little jewelry to whatever I’m wearing!
Now, even the jewelry pieces I’m not wearing are proudly displayed and remind me of the people and places I got them from ( I Am Enough Necklace from the Adopt Shoppe). I couldn’t be happier with the way my burlap jewelry display turned out!
Do you have your jewelry displayed? Or are you kinda like I used to be… with all your jewelry tucked in a bin or drawer?
