101 Handmade Days: Crocheted Mason Jar Cozy

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

I recently got the most adorable Mason Jar with a lid and straw from Twinkle Twinkle Lil’ Jar on Etsy. And I got one for my bestie too! I’m absolutely in LOVE with the way I had it personalized … but as cute as it is… it still sweats when I’ve got a cold drink inside. Which is one of my pet peeves… I can’t stand a “wet” glass. I know… I’m weird, but I just had to whip up a crocheted mason jar cozy to take care of the condensation issue!

This is a really quick and easy crochet pattern! Even someone fairly new to crocheting should be able to whip this up quickly. This pattern what designed to fit around the 24 oz. Mason jar I ordered. It will also fit most other mason jars as well!

Supplies:

5.5 mm crochet hook
Sugar’n Cream Cotton yarn in Hot Pink
yarn darning needle
scissors

Pattern:

Row 1: Foundation single crochet 28. (If you don’t know how to foundation single crochet, I highly recommend this youtube tutorial)

Row 2: Chain 1. Single crochet across row.

Row 3- 13 repeat row 2.

Use the darning needle whip stitch ends together to create a circle, then weave in the ends.

And you’re done! And have a crocheted mason jar cozy of your very own!

See! I told you it was easy 🙂 This took my about 20 minutes to crochet, and I am seriously thinking of whipping up a few more in a couple different colors for a little variety 🙂  During the summer I pretty much love on iced coffee and lemonade in my mason jar tumbler!

Oh and if you wanted to see what my awesome jar looks like with out the cozy…

Working on tomorrows #101handmadedays post AND drinking some yummy iced coffee in my awesome new @twinkletwinkleliljar mason. When I ordered @pnkheelspnktrk birthday present, I ordered one for me too 🙂 Now we’re jar twinsies! #besties #masonjartwins #bffs #happybloggers

Love this! I’m such a sucker for a cute mason jar 🙂 And they do leak condensation everywhere, so this would be perfect.

Love this – mason jars are fab, and this is too cute. I want one, think I need to relearn how to crochet.
