This Easy and Delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter “Nice” Cream, is the perfect sweet snack for these hot summer days and totally hits the spot! Especially when I need a break and something cool!
I’ve been making a concentrated effort to reduce added sugar and make healthier food choices. It’s not easy with the bit of a sweet tooth I have, but making these changes has definitely helped me get some of my health struggles more “under control”. And this recipe really is at the top of my list for enjoying in this heat!
If you’re looking for a cool treat that is easy, delicious and the perfect balance of peanut butter and chocolate, this Chocolate Peanut Butter “Nice” Cream is the solution!
Ingredients to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter “Nice” Cream
- 2.5 frozen bananas, chopped (about 3 cups)
- 3 ice cubes
- 1/4 cup cacao/coco powder
- 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter + 1 tablespoon for mixing (not powdered peanut butter-you need the liquid)
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons almond milk
You’ll notice the very “clean eating” ingredients list here. That makes this banana nice cream recipe gluten-free, dairy-free and just generally simple.
But, it does have peanut butter. So, if you wanted to go a little further down the allergy-friendly road to make this nut-free, feel free to replace the peanut butter with sun butter and the almond milk with coconut milk. This will still have great banana flavor just like the intended peanut butter banana ice cream, just respect your nut-free choice.
How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter “Nice” Cream
Get everything ready and chop the frozen bananas into chunks to make it easier on your blender.
Place the bananas, cocoa powder and the remaining ingredients into the blender or food processor (reserving one tablespoon of peanut butter)
Blend until combined. If using a blender you will need to use a tamper to blend the mixture as it will be thick. If using a food processor you may need to stop and scrape down the sides.
Blend until thick and combined. Use a spatula to place mixture into a large bowl.
Stir in the remaining peanut butter for a swirl look. Or, if you don’t care for the swirl and just want the flavor, you can use your high speed blender.
Divide into two bowls and enjoy!
Makes 2 cups
Note: Best eaten as soft serve right away
So what are you waiting for? Grab your ingredients and whip up a batch of this Easy and Delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter “Nice” Cream! Its a cool, tasty and healthy treat the whole family will Love!

I love ice cream and love the idea of a “nice cream” recipe 😀 I’m wondering, does this taste like bananas?
Jennifer says
There is a banana-ness to it, but the chocolate and peanut butter are definitely the more dominant flavors!
