When your husband has been sick for almost 2 weeks, and asks for his favorite Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, you say YES and get to baking! I mean, really, any excuse will do for these little bits of perfectness 😀 And they really don’t make that much time to make!
They look Yummy right? Pretty sure these cookies are single handedly responsible for FINALLY getting my Hubby off the couch! Hehehe 🙂
Want to whip up a batch for yourself? Here’s the recipe!
Ingredients –
1/2 cup of butter.
3/4 cup of peanut butter ( hubby prefers smooth over crunchy)
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar – firmly packed
1 large egg
1 cup of all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. of baking soda
1/2 tsp. of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions –
1. Cream butter, sugars and peanut butter.
2. Add in egg, salt, vanilla, flour and baking soda and mix.
3. Fold in chocolate chips.
4. Spoon onto a parchment covered cookie sheet.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes or until golden brown.
This recipe makes 18-ish good sized cookies.
And yes, all 18 are already gone! When the hubs finally got his appetite back, it came back with a vengeance!
When you recover from being under the weather, what is the first thing you crave?
