You Rock Valentine + Printable

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

I love a quick and easy project, regardless of the holiday! Some of my best childhood memories were getting creative with the most random materials and making “gifts” for my grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, cousins and friends! These You Rock Valentine rocks are a fun project the kids will LOVE to gift!

Grab your materials and sit the kids down, this is the perfect project for an afternoon when the kiddo’s are bored!

“You Rock” Valentine

Materials:

Smooth round stones
Red paint
White paint
Paintbrushes
Black string or twine

Instructions:

Start by coating the stones in a layer of red paint. You can use any craft paint, but we chose chalk paint because it dries rather quickly, goes on thick enough to cover in one coat, and is pretty durable.
When the stones have dried, use a paintbrush to paint arrows and hearts on alternating rocks.
Cut out the Valentines from the “You Rock” printable. A paper cutter makes this easiest, but scissors work just fine.
Punch a hole in one end of each Valentine.
Thread a piece of black string or twine through each Valentine, and tie it around each stone.

And voila! You’ve got an adorable, candy-free, handmade, kid friendly little valentine’s gift for friends and family! These You Rock Valentine rocks are also fun to leave in random places as a random act of kindness too! (There are some other awesome RAOK ideas here too!)

Aren’t these You Rock Valentine rocks just the cutest? How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? I think the hubby and I will be keeping things simple this year, probably dinner and a movie at home. 🙂
