You’d love to live in a world where everyone was nice and considerate to one another. Sadly, that world is nothing but a dream! You will always come across people who feel as though they go out of their way to be rude and inconsiderate. But wait, things get even worse.
Sometimes, these people live next door to you. That’s right, you could be stuck with some extremely annoying and rude neighbors.

Well, the fact you’ve clicked on this post suggests that you are in this exact situation. What can you do about neighbors from hell? Here are a few suggestions you might find helpful:
Try to talk to them
If you’ve never spoken to your neighbors, perhaps it’s a good idea to just clear the air a little bit. You might get lucky – they might not realize they’re being annoying or loud, and you’re alerting them to the situation, so they start to change.
Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but it’s always worth a try. At the very least, it can confirm if your neighbor is truly rude or just a bit ignorant of their surroundings.
Speak to other neighbors
Talk to other people in your area and see if they agree that this neighbor is annoying as hell. The person living on the other side of the rude neighbor might back up your claims that they are the worst. Likewise, everyone on the street could agree that the place would be better off without them.
If this is the case, you might be able to oust your nightmare neighbor if you get everyone else to sign a petition for them to leave. Those of you living in an area that’s governed by an HOA could submit the petition to them. They’ll see that this neighbor is a source of annoyance for the entire neighborhood, forcing them to either buck their ideas up or leave.
Take legal action
In some instances, you can take legal action against your neighbor. If they are constantly encroaching on your property or throwing rubbish into your yard, you have the right to get a civil litigation lawyer and sue them. Will this improve your relationship? No, but before this point, you should’ve tried to speak to them about your issues. If they continue to be rude and inconsiderate, legal action may be the best option.
Likewise, you can call the authorities on noisy neighbors or neighbors that are threatening you or making your life a living hell. Some states actually have nuisance neighbor laws that mean you can get them kicked out for certain nuisance violations.
There’s nothing worse than living next to people who are rude, inconsiderate, and downright irritating. Dealing with them can be tricky. Hopefully, a friendly conversation is all that’s needed to sort out any issues. If this doesn’t work, more drastic action should be taken.
The absolute worst-case scenario is that you move house. Yes, it’s horrible having to move and deal with mortgages again, but it might be necessary if nothing else works. You will be better off living elsewhere and dealing with the stress of moving house than living next to a nightmare neighbor for years.
