In this recipe, I’ll show you how to make a waffle grazing board with fruit and sides.
It’s made with the simplest of ingredients and you can enjoy it for breakfast, brunch, or even a late night snack! Let’s make this delicious breakfast “recipe”!
How to Make a Waffle Charcuterie Board
To get started with this Waffle Grazing Board, all you need is a selection of your favorite breakfast foods and some creative presentation skills (which is the best part in my opinion!).
Homemade Waffle Ingredients:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- ¼ cup of powdered sugar
- 2 eggs (or sub for a flax egg or chia seeds)
- ½ cup of oil
- 2 cups of your milk of choice
Fruit Options:
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- Apples
- Oranges
- Bananas
- Mangos
- Peaches
Side Options:
- Syrup
- Peanut butter
- Nut butter
- Melted Chocolate
- Nutella
- Yogurt
- Whipped cream
First, you’ll want to make those delicious waffles!
If you’re strapped for time, you can always use frozen waffle or even use pre-made waffle mix. (Those instructions will be on the side of the box!) To make waffles from scratch, first combine ALL the ingredients into one large bowl: flour, baking powder, sugar, powdered sugar, eggs (you can always sub this for a flax egg or even chia seeds!) oil, and a milk of your choice.
Once these are blended, set them into a waffle maker to cook. Your waffle maker might ding or alert you when your waffles are ready so check that out prior to cooking. Once the waffles are golden brown, they’re ready for the grazing board! I typically like to put my waffles right in the middle and arrange the fruit and sides around them.
When choosing fruit and sides, there is no right or wrong choices! We’ve left our favorite options with this recipe, but we’ve also mixed and matched some days.
It might be fun to have a “Berries and Brunch” themed Waffle Grazing board where you have strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries as your fruits. You could include nutella, jam, and maple syrup as some fun sides. This board is so fun and customizable!
Whatever you do, don’t forget the whip cream! No waffle plate is complete with out at least one cloud of whip cream on top 😉
Once you’ve assembled your board, invite your friends or family to dig in and enjoy… or don’t! Feel free to be a little selfish with this idea and make a waffle board just for you!!
Waffle charcuterie boards are the perfect way to start any weekend morning. Not to mention that they add a little wow factor to breakfast time, whether it’s just a regular weekday morning or a fancy weekend brunch with your friends!
