Valentines Inpired Nail Art - BusyBeingJennifer.com

Every once in a while, I get inspired to try something new… I was way over due for DIY manicure, and since Valentines Day is just around the corner, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do.  But since I never buy pink or red nail polishes, don’t ask me why, I went with two of my favorite polish colors 🙂

I went with the yummy, minty “Turquoise & Caicos” and a nice, rich, ocean blue “Go Overboard” both from Essie. One of my favorite brands 🙂

I used a silver and a black sharpie marker to draw on the hearts and “Dazzle Me” glitter polish from Pure Ice.

A top coat of Sally Hansens Insta-Dri and I’m good to go 🙂 And as always I used my little Vaseline on my cuticles trick to keep from making a horrible mess 😉

With a pretty extensive to do list over the next few days, we’ll see how long this lasts 🙂

Your nails are so cute! I really like the striped one with the heart. How long did it take for you to do them?

Not long at all! The worst part is waiting for the first layer of color to dry enough that I can add the tape I need use to add the stripes. 🙂

I love the colors you chose! I like that they're not your stereotypical pink, white, and red but they still feel festive. Super cute!

Cute!! I love the idea of putting vaseline on your cuticles, I should try that! Otherwise my nails look like a 5-year-old did them for about a day 🙂

Those are super cute and I love that each one is different. I always get my nails done and I was actually planning on heading to the salon tomorrow (if it doesn't snow too much tonite and I can get out)!

Love! I definitely can not do nails. It's more like doing my nails, my fingers, a little bit on my arms…. It's such a mess, so I love looking at other people's nails.

I hope that doesn't sound creepy!
