There are few things I love more than a tasty, sweet treat in the afternoons. It’s the perfect way for me to take a little break, indulge my sweet tooth and relax my brain a little.
Having something delicious like these Triple Chocolate Pecan Rice Krispie Bars is just what the boss (aka ME!) ordered!
These chocolaty treats are easy to whip up, and the addition of pecan’s is perfect since I have a pecan tree in my backyard, and last year we had a bumper crop of my favorite nut!
Triple Chocolate Pecan Rice Krispie Bars Recipe:
Ingredients:
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10oz bag miniature marshmallows
3 Tablespoons butter
1/4 cup chocolate chips
For the topping:
2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup pecans
Directions:
Start by grabbing all your ingredients and a large microwave safe bowl, spatula or mixing spoon, and a baking pan.
Add your marshmallows, butter and chocolate chips to a large microwave safe bowl and heat for about 1-2 minutes or until marshmallows start to get soft and chocolate starts to melt.
Stir every minute or so to make sure you get a good consistency.
Once everything is well melted, add in your Rice Krispies cereal, and stir until they’re completely covered with the chocolate/marshmallow mixture.
Grease your baking pan with a non-stick cooking spray and press your Rice Krispie treats into the pan.
Stick the pan of Rice Krispie treats into the freezer for about 15 minutes or until they start to firm up.
While the Rice Krispie treats firm up in the freezer, make your topping.
In a small microwave safe bowl, heat 2 cups of your chocolate chips for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Grab the Rice Krispies bars out of the freezer, and frost them evenly with the melted chocolate.
Top with pecans (chopped or whole, it’s up to you).
In a small microwave safe bowl, heat 1/2 cup of your white chocolate chips for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Pour the melted white chocolate into a decorating bag.
Using the melted white chocolate in the decorating bag, add a drizzle of white chocolate over your Rice Krispies bars.
Once fully drizzled, let the chocolate cool completely, cut into squares and enjoy!

7. In a small microwave safe bowl, heat 1/2 cup of your white chocolate chips for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and pour into a decorating bag.
8. Cut a small tip off your decorating bag and drizzle over your Rice Krispies bars.
9. Top with pecans, let cool and enjoy.
