Sparkling Honeysuckle Summer Sangria Recipe:

Honeysuckle Simple Syrup Recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups Dried honeysuckle
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1/4 tsp cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
In a large mason jar, add the honeysuckle and the water, cover and let sit for 24 hours.
Add honeysuckle, “tea” water, sugar and cinnamon to large pot. Bring to a boil.
Reduce to a low simmer, stirring often, until syrup thickens.
Strain out honeysuckle and allow to cool.
Store in fridge for up to 4 weeks.
I had these cute little bottles I had ordered for an idea I had, but never quite got around to doing, and its the perfect size for gifting the honeysuckle syrup! Add a hand written label and its perfect!
To turn this into the perfect summer hostess gift, I got a pitcher and added a bottle opener, bottle of honeysuckle wine with a custom sangria recipe label, and the honeysuckle syrup. Then I added some pretty bakers twine and a tag embellished with washi tape!
If you REALLY like your hostess, then you could add all the above, plus some sparkling water, a watermelon and some fresh cherries to a basket. Then they’ll have everything they need to put together this delicious Sparkling Honeysuckle Summer Sangria!
