Remember that time that I made a New Years Resolution to live a healthier lifestyle? Its been tough. I have this bad habit of forgetting to eat and then I suddenly feel like I am starving! Next thing I know I am eating everything in sight! So I decided that I need to stock my freezer with some quick and tasty meals! Bring on the Lean Cuisine frozen meals. Man are they delicious! I’m in love with the Sesame Chicken. LOVE. It doesn’t taste anything like a healthy meal… even though it is 🙂 Definitely my new #frozenfavorite

And I’m trying to eat more veggies. Veggies are important right?  Right! More veggies for everyone!

Broccoli is one of my favorite veggies, but I get bored easily. I wanted to try some thing different… so I roasted them! The turned out pretty fabulous. Want to roast your Broccoli? Its pretty easy…

Chop up the broccoli (1 – 2 heads)

In a large plastic bag add…

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Add chopped broccoli to bag and shake until broccoli is fully coated with oil and spices.

Spread broccoli out on a foil lined cookie sheet

Cook at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Turning once.

The results: Delicious, tender, good for you broccoli!

But lets not forget dessert. In my world dessert is the most important part of the meal 😉

I stocked up on some yummy Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches too 🙂 Thank you Sam’s Club!

One of my other resolutions for 2013 was to stick to our budget. So the fact that Sam’s club has a special price for these meals and desserts was even better!

Lean Cuisine Asian Flavors 6 pack are now $9.98! Lean Cuisine Italian Favorites are now $ 6.98. Skinny Cow Vanilla and Cookies’n’Cream ice cream sandwiches 20 pack is only $9.98! Can’t beat those prices! They are only available at Sam’s Club for a limited time… so you should go stock up 😉 Click HERE to see more of my latest shopping trip.

So now I have no excuses to skip meals or just eat chocolate for lunch (not sure if I am happy about that or not).

Ps. Today is my First Anniversary! Happy Anniversary to me! 🙂
