Its time for another edition of the Saturday Love Fest!! I missed the last 2 weeks because I was CRAZY BUSY with the final to markets / craft shows of the year and the custom orders that have kept me hopping! All of that is behind me now and it is back to business as usual 🙂
This week has been all about the Holiday prep! Getting the last few blog posts ready, finishing up some gifts and getting the house cleaned and organized so I can enjoy every second of the few days that the Hubs will be home!
I have sneaked in some much needed reading time. This week I even FINISHED a book! That hasn’t happened in far too long. A Big Sky Christmas by William W. Johnstonewas a fun and easy read with just the right amount of mystery, danger and romance to make it a page turner!
I’ve also managed to find a few minutes here and there to do some coloring in my current favorite “adult coloring book”! This Christmas to Color book by Mary Tanana is the perfect thing to get you in the Christmas coloring spirit! The pages are detailed and I find them quite calming!
This weekend I’m going to be hanging with my husband, finishing up a quilting project or two, doing some baking and maybe even a Christmas craft or two…
I definitely want to try these Buckeye Marshmallow Pops from Lemons for Lulu, this Chocolate Espresso Pecan Pie recipe from the Gold Lining Girl and maybe even Gingerbread Macaroons from Spoonful of Flavor.
When it comes to my crafting plans this weekend, I REALLY want to try to make some of these Buffalo Check Perler Bead Christmas Ornaments from The Scrap Shoppe Blog and at least a few of these fun Star Christmas Ornaments from Summer Scraps !
What are your weekend plans???
Before I go, I wanted to give you my thoughts on the new Fantastic Four movie! AND a chance to win a copy for yourself!
About the movie – The FANTASTIC FOUR make a triumphant return with MARVEL’s next generation of heroes — four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate universe, their physical forms altered in shocking ways. Their lives changed forever, Reed Richards (“MR. FANTASTIC”), Sue Storm (“INVISIBLE WOMAN”), Johnny Storm (“THE HUMAN TORCH”) and Ben Grimm (“THE THING”) must harness their incredible new powers and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy, the infamous DR. DOOM.
My thoughts – I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this version of the classic comic. I was pleasantly surprised! It didn’t take me long to get sucked into the story! The effects are great and you’ll definitely be cheering for the heroes in no time flat!
