What do you need to make these Pumpkin Spice Latte Bath Bombs ?
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 2 tablespoons of instant coffee
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin spice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil
- 1/2 of cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Epsom salt
- 1/4 cup citric acid
- 2-3 teaspoons water
How do you make Pumpkin Spice Latte Bath Bombs?
Start by pulling out your mixing bowl and stirring all your dry ingredients together until very well combined.
Next we’re going to add in the vanilla extract and sweet almond oil.
Now, this is the complicated (sort of) part. Every so slowly drip the water into the dry ingredients, a few drops at a time and stir. Be sure to add no more than 1 teaspoon at a time until the mixture is just slightly damp.
You do not want the mix dripping wet. If you see the mix beginning to fizz, you’ve added too much water. This will make it hard for your bath bombs to harden, and take a lot more time.
The bath bomb “dough” should be a little bit like slightly dried playdough. When you grab a handful and squeeze a little, it should hold together nicely, but not be wet or goopy.
If you’ve made bath bombs before you know exactly what I am talking about. If this is your first time making them, it may require a little trial and error.
Don’t be afraid to err on the side of dry. It’s easier to add more water than it is to do the calculations to add a little more of the dry ingredients!
If you’re using a mason jar cookie-cutter like I did lay it on a flat surface like a tray or cookie sheet and fill about halfway, pressing firmly in all corners and creases.
Carefully remove the cookie cutter by gently tapping it with your finger and wiggling back-and-forth. Repeat this process until you’ve used up all your bath bomb mixture.
Allow your Pumpkin Spice Latte Bath Bombs to dry thoroughly and harden overnight.
To use your DIY Bath Bombs:
Fill your bath half way with nice warm or hot water. Then drop one of these DIY Bath Bombs beneath running and allow to dissolve fully.
These DIY bath bombs make a great gift, especially in the fall! It’s the perfect little fall self care idea for yourself or a friend that needs a little pampering!
If you will be gifting these, I recommend add a bit of twine around the neck of the jar shaped bath bomb and a small homemade tag. You can even add the scent and the giftee’s name to the little label for a personal touch.
Aren’t these fun DIY bath bombs so perfect for gifting and for a little fall self care? I’m totally in love with them!
Now I really want to know one thing…. are you going to make these Pumpkin Spice Latte Bath Bombs for your own enjoyment? Or to gift to someone you care about?
