If you follow me on instagram you would have seen me post this last night around 10:30…
I was so excited to crawl into bed. I managed to function all day with out the need for a nap, and I was so hopeful about getting a full, good nights rest. Well I must have jinxed it with this instagram post. I woke up 2 am, needing to pee, stumbled blindly to the washroom and back, climbed back into bed, and *SWITCH* my brain kicked on. I tossed and turned for the next hour and a half…. hoping my body was just joking and my brain would settle down at any moment. No such luck. Around 3:30 I gave up, got dressed and went to drink coffee and snuggle the kittens.
I managed to actually be productive for so early in the morning. Dishes, laundry and a whole bunch of things on my “inventory to do list” got done! around 5:45 I needed to use the washroom… coffee does that… there I am sitting on the toilet minding my own business, when a mouse rounds the corner from the hallway and heads straight for my feet. I’m not too proud to admit that screamed. I screamed like a 3-year-old girl. I screamed and picked my feet up and started cussing like a sailor. “This is MY house you blankey-blank-blank-blanking mouse!” I got cats for one very important and specific reason…. to deal with the mouse problem. They took care of it in the main part of the house, but apparently these bleeping rodents found another way in… that just happens to be right beside the toilet. grrrrreeeeaaaaattttt.
Once my heart rate calmed, and I double and tipple checked the floor to make sure my bare feet weren’t going to get attacked by a crazed mouse… I headed back to my sewing machine, and made more things. Go me!
By 8 am, I was fading, and fast. It was time to take my happy arse off to bed! I slept for a blissful 3 hours, knowing that my hubby would probably be calling between 10 and noon to tell me about his morning and where he was headed to next. Right on schedule at 11 he called… he told me all about his morning, that the load he’s been stuck in California with for 3 days is finally off and he’s headed out. Here’s the sucky part… He’s not picking up a load and heading back to Texas so he can finally be home for a weekend… OH No… he’s headed to Denver, Colorado! He won’t be home at all this weekend. I’m going into week 5 of not seeing my husband and I am soooooo over it!
The only good thing about all this is that because I have market this weekend, when he does finally manage to get home, I’ll actually be able to spend time with him, as opposed to spending the majority of my time at my booth. Oh and I don’t have to worry about making sure the house is perfectly clean before he gets back, and that means more time to make inventory!
So now I’m off to make more zippy pouches and hoops and jewelry and whatever else I decide to make at the last-minute. I’ll also be drinking stupid amounts of coffee and possibly having a crying fit because I miss my man. You can probably see why I think today hates me.
PS. If you have an iPhone or iPad there is a new app that you might want to check out! Its called Pressgram. Its like instagram, but you own your photos and can directly post them to your wordpress site! Kinda awesome!!! I plan on live blogging this weekend while I’m at the market and testing it out! Once you get your profile, just search for BusyBeingJennifer and I’ll follow you back! 🙂
Aww sorry your night was so bad! I have an irrational fear of rodents so definitely would not have been able to sleep after that. Hope you get some good rest tonight!
Can't believe I'm not following you yet. Today wasn't quite as bad for me but we did forget to set the alarm last night -_- I woke up with 30 minutes to get myself together for work. Oh, and I had a crazy dream about my Ukrainian cousin getting kidnapped to Syria… I should really stop watching the news…
Those kittens are ADORABLE! *squeeee* Too bad they're slacking on the mouse issue. That would have FREAKED ME OUT! Hope tonight goes better for you! 🙂
They're still adjusting to the space, so I haven't even let them into that side of the house yet… that will be changing tonight lol
Can't begin to imagine not seeing my husband for five weeks! We've never spent more than two or three days apart, and that was so hard! Here's hoping you can finally get some rest tonight!
