Hot Tips for Staying Cool this Summer

Its HOT in Texas Ya’ll! And no… that’s not me complaining. I like it hot! But that’s because I’ve got some Hot Tips for Staying Cool! And I still get enjoy the great outdoors 🙂

Its the middle of the summer and it is HOT! SO here are some Hot Tips for Staying Cool - BusyBeingJennifer.com

Eat small meals and eat more often. The larger the meal, the more metabolic heat your body creates breaking down the food. Avoid foods that are high in protein, which increase metabolic heat.

Cold-ish Showers. Yep. Not quite COLD showers. While a cold shower probably sounds a little better, your body generates heat afterwards to compensate for the heat loss. So Tepid it is! 

Hydrate!! Drink ALL the Water. All the Time 🙂 Cute water bottles go a long way to making drinking all that water a little easier 🙂

Stick your sheets in a plastic bag and then into the fridge for a couple hours 🙂 As we fall asleep our body temperature lowers, which is why it’s difficult to sleep in hot weather. Cold sheets straight from the fridge will hep you fall asleep faster and hopefully sleep better 🙂

Wear light weight, light colored, loose fitting clothes. I love summery outfits like this 🙂

So there you have it! Simple, but practical! And if you put these tips for staying cool into play, you MIGHT just make it through the rest of the summer without turning into a puddle of goo! At least I hope you can make it through the rest of the summer with out turning into a pile of goo! Piles of people goo is bad!
