Heat-and-Eat #PersonalFeast for my Hubby

Velveeta Review Disclosure.

Raise your hand if you’re trying to lose wight. *Waves hand* Raise your hand if you’re trying to lose weight and getting tired of making two meals, a healthy meal for you and a normal meal for everyone else. *Waving both hands!* Yup. Its exhausting and sometimes a little annoying. Not that I mind cooking for my hubby when he’s home, but sometimes I just want to eat a nice healthy salad with out the temptation that comes from making him a “normal meal”. It doesn’t help that the man is totally a name brand snob! Only the best will do for my hubby!

He’s a BIG fan of Velveeta shells and cheese, but so am I! Can you see my problem? CARBS!

So I decided to do some shopping at Walmart and explore some other options. Namely heat-and-eat meals for him. Like the new Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles.  This frees me up from having to slave over a hot stove and from the temptation of all that cheesy goodness. Now I can eat my yummy healthy salad with out “accidentally” snacking on a whole pox of pasta!

And the fact that all I have to do is heat, stir in some “liquid gold” (aka cheese sauce) and serve is a pretty awesome bonus too! Having some of these heat-and-eat meals on hand has definitely made it easier for me to feed my busy husband something hot and quick, while I make a healthier choice. Now don’t get me wrong, I love to cook for my man, and have no problem “slaving over the hot stove” for his dinners, but when its lunch time and he’s hungry, easier is definitely better!

Oh and another bonus? Less dishes for me!! Perfect right? Check out Twitter and Facebook for more info on this product!

How do you avoid carb temptation?

Yum! Weren't these delicious? I LOVED the chicken chili mac one and Cory's favorite was the lasagna with meat sauce. Such an easy meal!

I'm really glad my husband doesn't mind eating the healthy meals with me! He would be on his own if he wanted something different! No matter how easy it is! HA!

Do love cheesy shells though…they need a gluten free version!

Hm. I try an cook healthy, usually with lots of veggies, and I think my meat-loving husband is lucky that I make our dinner most of the time, so I'd give him a piece of my mind if he requested a second meal! You're a very good wife for doing that!
