Are you thinking about taking a California road trip this year? Across the United States, people of all ages will be packing up their vehicle to drive somewhere (hopefully, Cali). They may be taking a road trip for a vacation, special events, work, or to explore. Whatever the reason for their road trip, it does take a little planning and work for it to be the best possible experience. Looking for a new place to road trip? California is a beautiful state to explore!

Plan what part of California you want to visit

California is a large state with a variety of activities to make everyone happy. Some great places to see include San Francisco, Point Reyes National Seashore, Humbolt Redwoods State Park, and Crescent City. Highway One is an iconic highway to plan your road trip. You can start in San Diego, travel through Huntington Beach, and head to Los Angeles. You can truly go as far as you want.

Decide how long you want to spend on the road

Deciding how long you want to spend on the road is a very important part of planning. If you want to spend a week or two, you need to plan for gas, hotel, food, etc. Of course, the longer you want to spend there, the more you need to plan. This is a good time to look online for deals that you may be able to take advantage of to save you money.

Make any reservations you need early

It is vital to make any reservations you need early. The closer it is to peak travel season, the less available rooms you will find. You may think you want to wing it and just go, but driving around for hours looking for a room to sleep in is not fun for anyone. If you plan your route and make your reservations early, you will be sure to have the comfort and rest you need to complete your road trip.

California is the perfect road trip opportunity

From the beautiful sea shore to big cities to grand forests with giant redwoods, California has it all. It is a great state to plan a road trip in/through and it can be an exciting adventure for everyone.

If there was one last tip to remember. It would be to get that car of yours looked at. Cars can give you a run for your money, especially when you’re trying to road trip somewhere. Remember to have a plan, but be flexible! Keep these tips in mind and you are sure sure to have an amazing California road trip.
