Time for this weeks edition of Handmade Love!! Kendra is a girl after my own heart! She loves to create, and is inspired by the fabrics she finds! Just like me 🙂 I bet she has quite the fabric collection too 🙂
Tell us about how you got started…
I opened my shop initially with just the Fold Over Elastic Hair Ties that I made while recovering from a torn achilles. As my Achilles healed and I used my sewing machine as a way to help it increase in strength so I started adding the items I made into my shop. I enjoy coming up with new items to make for my shop – the most recent addition were tutus!
What inspires your creative process? Why do you do what you do?
I spend a lot of time on Pinterest and make things that I would want to use. I even made myself a giant tutu for a UW football game this past fall. Browsing fabric websites are dangerous for me because just about anything I see can become a new item in the shop.
