One of the best parts of summer is the adventures you get to go on! But getting there can be a challenges, especially with little ones.

I remember driving my parents absolutely bonkers on road trips, with a whole lot of help from my 5 siblings of course. Asking a thousand questions, someone always needing to stop to use a restroom, the fights between the seatmates that inevitably happened… it could be pure chaos! Our short family road trips were probably harder and more exhausting for the ‘rents, than the long ones were!

Why?

Because my mom was fully prepared to keep us occupied on those longer trips. She had snacks, books, mad libs and all all kinds of game ideas. Its the family road trip games that stick out to me the most.

She’d bring everything she could think of… guessing games, matching games, games related to our destination, and of course the classic licence plate game.

Of course when I was a kid *cough 30ish years ago cough cough* We didn’t have fun and colorful printables like the one I’ve got for you today, we had a sheet of paper on a clip board and a pencil

This fun cactus version of the classic licence family road trip game is so much better!

It’s easier to use too! All you need is to print one off for each child, put it on a clip board and bring it, along with some pencils or crayons, when you head out.
