Because we love our pets, especially dogs, we go over and above when it comes to their care. I know I do!
We really want the best for them, and when we move house and looking out for the things, we can do to improve our home, that consider our dogs and other pets.
We do want the best dog food for them, and the best home environment for them, but what do we need to do to ensure they are happy and healthy? And what DIY projects can you pick up and run with, in the future?

Doghouse
Doghouses aren’t what they used to be. From elaborate crates to houses built under the stairs, dogs really are spoilt for choice these days.
A first DIY project is to create a little home under the stairs for your dog, complete with windows and window boxes. You’d be surprised what a little imagination can do, and a lick of paint will have the outside of your puppy’s new pad looking fantastic.
Dogs really need to have space, and creating one from scratch will give you a huge sense of achievement. All you need is some pieces of wood a saw, a screwdriver and plenty of tools and accessories to make sure you have everything you need.
Even those who don’t thoroughly enjoy DIY, love to create little projects for their pups.
Garden
Your garden needs to be secure at the very least, which goes without saying. But if you’ve just moved into a property, you will want to watch your dog manoeuvre its way around the garden, and find any weak points in the fence.
The dog will find them and do everything they can to get out of them. Making sure that you get your hammer nails out and that the garden fence is dog-proof, will save your valuable time in the future when your dog decides to go on an adventure.
Entertainment
Dogs need plenty of entertaining. Otherwise, they will find things to chew and destroy.
Unfortunately, many people forget that pups do you need and enriching environment to thrive. This also means they need to be kept entertained always.
It’s not as simple as telling your dog to go and find something to do if your pup doesn’t have things to do, anything they find to do maybe a slight inconvenience to everyone. Not to mention dangerous. But there are options for items that you can create to keep your dog entertained.
For a start you can create a sand and water pit for them, dogs tend to love paddling and again, and if you don’t want them to dig the garden up then creating this little space for them to dig up will be perfect.
Having a dog in your life is a fantastic event and one that the whole family will appreciate.
If you adopt a pet shortly then be ready to join an adventure that you couldn’t even begin to imagine. You’ll never look back, and it will feel as though your new pad has always been with your family.
