Delaware Road Trip

Visiting the great state of Delaware is something you will want to do in your life time. Is there anything better than experiencing something new? If a Delaware road trip is in the works, here are some of the places you will want to experience while there.

Prepare to take a drive

Some would say that one of the best parts of going on a road trip to Delaware would be the drives. There are so many scenic drives you can take. One of the most popular scenic drives is to take the Mouth of Delaware to Brandywine. It is about a 2-hour drive and you will see some beautiful things along the way. There are rolling hills, valleys, and plenty of history along the way. You can create your own scenic drive or ask friends for recommendations.

Dover International Speedway

Whether you are in to racing or not, the Dover International Speedway is a place to behold. Watching cars race to and fro is amazing in so many ways. It will really get your blood pumping. Did you know you can even get your own experience of getting in the stock car? Imagine yourself racing on the Monster Mile. It would take away your breath to say the least.

Brandywine Zoo

There is just something about Brandywine in Delaware. It’s a beautiful place and many people like to head to the zoo while there. There are around 150 creatures in the zoo, so it can keep you busy for hours. As you walk through the zoo, you will learn lots about your fuzzy friends. Mark this as a place to visit on your Delaware Road Trip.

So, these are the top 3 places I would visit if I were going on a road trip to Delaware. However, there are also some things I would need to do before heading out on a road trip.

Car Refresh

Before I take my family on any road trip, I make sure my car is up to par. Having a licensed mechanic look at your car before you leave can help ensure you have a safe trip. People are hard on cars, make sure you take care of yours.

Don’t forget the goodies for yourself

When I take the family on a road trip, snacks and drinks are a must. I try to keep things as healthy as possible. Hey, if you’re going to take a road trip, you should take care of car and yourself.

What tips would you offer someone heading on a road trip to Delaware?
