There are few things cozier in life than a soft, chunky scarf. And the Cowl or infinity scarf is about as trendy as you can get. Put them together and what do you get? This pattern for a cute, cozy, trendy, warm, soft and awesome ( enough descriptive words for ya 😉 ) Cowl. And the best part is, it’s an incredibly simple crochet pattern! So here it is… the Crochet Popcorn Cowl Pattern…
What you need…
Yarn (I used Red Heart #4 weight, in “Real Teal”)
A size L ( or 8mm) crochet hook
approx. 2.5 hours
Chain 101. Turn
Row 1: Chain one and then single crochet in the first chain. Triple Crochet in the next chain.Alternate single crochet and triple crochet across the row of chain. You should end with a single crochet.
Row 2: Turn and chain 3. Single crochet into the top if the previous row’s triple crochet. Triple crochet into the single crochet of the previous row. Continue alternating single and triple crochet across the row.
Turn, Chain 3, and repeat for a total of 14 rows.
Popcorn stitches should be popping out on both sides of your cowl and appear in alignment on each side.
Slip stitch ends together
You’re done!
Easy right? Now if you’re looking at this and saying “Yeah right… now I just have to learn to crochet” … well I’ve done the work for you! This ocean/teal colored cowl and a couple of others are in the Shop! (along with some other awesome new things!)
So grab a hook and your favorite yarn and get to work! I hope you’ll show me what you’ve created!
