Christmas Quilt

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

Yesterday I shared about my first quilting retreat experience, and as promised I am back to show off the quilt I worked on that weekend 🙂 Now, my plan was to finish the quilt top that weekend and then the next week finish the quilting and binding. I would have had a beautiful new quilt for Christmas. Didn’t quite go as planned. I got a beautiful new Christmas Quilt for the second week of January :p

This is not a tutorial for this quilt. I was inspired by a quilt that I saw on (where else?) Pinterest! I don’t know if there was a tutorial for that one or not. I never looked. I knew based on the fabrics that I had what I wanted to do. So I figured it out! I am going to be making another quilt with this pattern and will be sharing the tutorial then 🙂 I took pictures as I went, there is a bunch! 😉

You can get a pretty good idea of the process. I realized after I got to the retreat with my fabric, machine and accessories, that I should have started before I got there. Most of the ladies at the treat had the bulk of their blocks made… oh well I’ll know for next time 🙂 Now the quilt is finished and I can show it off in its entirety!

That is GORGEOUS! I am jealous because I do not have the patience to do something like that – I think you should let me hire you to do it for me,what do you think? 😉

It looks great. I’m going on my first quilting retreat the end of March. I’m very busy trying to learn to sew a straight line, lol.

My cousin (who thinks I’ve been practicing all year, gulp!) is lucky I love her.

I’ll think of you for inspiration<3

AWESOME!! I LOVE quilts! They are the epitome of cozy-ness. I took a quilting class at our local fabric/crafts store and learned quite a bit about hand-quilting. I have never done machine quilting. I wish I could attend a retreat like the one you went to. Your quilt is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for sharing the beautiful pics with us! =)
