Blogger Life: 5 Things I can’t Live without

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

Blogger Life. Its all kinds of fun, stressful, rewarding, adventurous and occasionally aggravating! There are definitely some things that make this “job” of mine way easier… and I certainly can’t imagine life without them! Oh Wait! I did live without some of them when I first started blogging! Oh the good’ole days… *sigh* Anyways… today I am sharing with you the 5 things I can’t live without when it comes to blogging!

5 Things I can't Live without - BusyBeingJennifer.com

#1 Notebook and Pen.  Ok, this one might be a little obvious. I’ve mentioned my need to have a pen and note book handy at all times before. Ideas like to come to me at the oddest and most inconvenient moments. Like jussssstttt as I am falling asleep, or when I’m standing in line at the grocery store. Having my handy dandy idea notebook with me has saved my blogging bacon a few times!

#2 Social Media Apps – Buffer, Meet Edgar, Google Drive. Where, oh where would I be without these amazing apps? Buffer makes scheduling retweets and pins super easy. I’m still new to Meet Edgar, but a huge chunk of my blogging buddies swear by it for facebook and twitter scheduling. I use Google Drive for so many things – documents, sign up forms, spread sheets… the list goes on, and since I refuse to pay for “word”, Google Drive is one of my favorite free things!

#3 Smart Phone. This one goes without saying. No smart phone would mean no on the go access with social media! And I’m not sure I could live without instagram! (P.S. DO you follow me on instagram? You Should! )

#4 CoSchedule’s Editorial Calender. Of all the applications that make my blogger life easier, this is probably the most important. CoSchedule has all kinds cool things available to implement on your blog, but the editorial calender is by far my favorite! I started using it last year, and for the first time in my blogging life, I’ve got posts planned out for the next 2 months +! And if I need to make an adjustment of move a post to a different date, all I have to do is drag and drop it! Seriously, its the best $10 a month I’ve probably ever spent. I feel so much more organized and focused when it comes to my content plan!

#5 Camera / Camera Phone. I have had a “big girl camera” for over 6 years, long before I started blogging. I had aspirations of being a wedding photographer, but life didn’t quite turn out that way, and I’m ok with that! I love what I am doing right now. My nikon is my go to camera for photos for my blog, but occassionally I’ll pull a lazy card and use my camera phone. Plus, I ALWAYS have my phone with me, so its convenient. While I love my Nikon, it does require some forethought and a much larger bag.

Oh. There is one other thing that I can’t live without. Can you guess what it is?
