WOW! Thats pretty much all that I can say about my experience at Blissdom. It was definitely something else, and nothing like the blogging conference I’d been to before. I learned some, networked a bunch and made lasting connections! Oh and I can’t forget the memories made!
There are 9 billion things I could say about Blissdom and the experience I had… most good, some indifferent and a couple negative, but I am going to stick to this…
If you’re looking for a conference where you can meet amazing sponsors, have some entertaining speakers, rub shoulders with celebrities and make some life long connections, this is your conference.
If you are looking to learn lots and get into the nitty gritty of blogging, then you probably want to look at some other conference options. The sessions at Blissdom were (mostly) great, but stuck to some pretty general topics or were more about inspiration than information. Not saying thats a bad thing, just not quite what I expected. I had hoped to leave with a notebook full of new ideas, blogging tips and best practices. While that wasn’t the case, I think that the experiences I gained were just as valuable, if not more so.
I’m definitely going to be looking into going to Blissdom again next year. Now that I know what to expect I think that I would enjoy/get a lot more out of it 🙂
Be sure to pop by tomorrow! I’m having a giveaway for some of the extra swap I brought back! 🙂

Glad you enjoyed the weekend, it looks like it was an amazing time! I've read other bloggers' perspective and they said some of the same things you did: great for socializing and connecting, not so great for education. Good to know, I hope I can go in the future. =)

Thanks for sharing! It seems most bloggers feel that way – more inspiring than anything. I hope to get to Blissdom Canada and then BlogHer next year too!

I've heard Blissdom Canada has a bit of a different feel to it. I've got a list of conferences I want to make it to *someday*. Already workong in convincing my hubby that Bloggy Bootcamp in November is a good idea. LOL

Yep, I felt the same way in regards to actual practical tips. But I think I would definitely go again! It was a lot of fun.
