Be Fall Adventure Ready…

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

This post is brought to you by Emerald®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I LOVE fall and I LOVE weekends! And there is nothing more enjoyable than a Fall Weekend, unless its a fall weekend with a little adventure too! With my husband on the road full time and home on random days of the week, I covet those perfect fall weekends and a chance for adventure with my love. Since those weekends are rare, I am ALWAYS adventure read for the moment he says “lets go”! So Today I’m sharing 5 tips for always being fall adventure ready!

Be Fall Adventure Ready! - BusyBeingJennifer.com

1. Have an “Adventure Go Bag”.
It might seem silly… but around here its made getting out the door for those last minute adventures quick and easy! I have a small duffle bag that is dedicated to these random and unexpected adventures and always gets put away in the same spot. That way I always know exactly where it is! I also keep a first aid kit, bug spray, extra band aids, kleenex, glasses wipes and a little cash in a separate zippy that stays in this duffle.

2. Prepare for all types of weather.
Right now, in Texas, its still quite hot during the day… but as soon as the sun goes down the temperature started to DROP! So I always like to have at least a hoodie and a pair of jeans, plus some socks and running shoes. I also have a picnic blanket and cozy scarf packed as well… just in case!

3. Bring Healthy Snacks!
Healthy snacks that are easy to grab, like my favorite Emerald® Nut Canisters and Breakfast On the Go!™ Nutty Bites – these pack a lot of protein and flavor in a small package! I usually also grab some sort of sweet treat and a couple bottles of water. I tend to over pack when it comes to the snacks. I’d rather have too much, than not enough!

4. Bring a Book.
Sometimes our fall adventure is just a trip to the lake for a few hours of relaxing or fishing. Well, at least the Hubs is into the fishing part. I’ll be on my picnic blanket under a shade tree reading, #ThankYouVeryMuch. Sometimes I’ll grab a magazine and catch up on the latest trends, or I’ll bring a notebook and brain dump!

5. Leave the Gadgets behind!
With the exception of a digital camera, we make a point to leave our gadgets and tech at home. And phones stay in the truck once we arrive at our destination! There is nothing quite as “warm and fuzzy” as an actual conversation with someone you love! I’m not always a fan of the no gadget rule… I am a blogger after all!, but sometimes its the best thing I can do for my marriage and for my sanity 🙂
And there you have it! 5 tips for being adventure ready this fall!

Are you planning on having some adventures this fall? What is your best adventure ready tip?

If only that part about leaving gadgets behind could happen more often in this day and age. I keep the 100 calorie almond packets in my purse for when I know we’ll be out for a while and might need a snack. Stacie xo

This is so smart! I think leaving gadgets behind should happen more often in general. We are so glued to our devices! Everyone should definitely go on a Fall adventure this year. 🙂
