As Millennials Enter Their 30s, These Are the Signs of Aging to Watch Out For

For a lot of millennials, taking care of one’s appearance is an important part of self-care. It’s not that millennials are necessarily afraid of growing and looking older, but everyone likes to stave off the effects of aging for as long as possible. But inevitably, as millennials enter their 30s, they will still start to see some of the telltale signs of aging. With that in mind, below are some of the biggest signs of aging as you hit your 30s, and what you can do to fight them.

1. Hair Loss

Although we associate hair loss with men, everyone can suffer from it as they grow older. In fact, about a third of all women will experience hair loss at one point or another. Hair loss can be connected to stress as well as genetics, and it’s difficult to stop it from happening. But as it happens, you can explore hair restoration surgeries and treatments, as well as hair replacement systems that will make it look as if you never lost your hair. You’d be amazed by how far they’ve all come in recent years.

2. Tooth Discoloration

The way our smiles look can really affect our confidence, as well as how people perceive us personally and professionally. It’s no wonder that an estimated 32% of people report being concerned about the appearance of their teeth. A major sign of aging is tooth discoloration. You can keep this from occurring in the first place by cutting back on acidic food and drinks. Major staining offenders include coffee and red wine. If discoloration is already present, don’t turn to at-home whitening kits. Have your teeth professionally whitened for the best results.

3. Fine Lines

We all start to develop fine lines, especially if we’re stressed. As millennials make up 45% of homeowners — the largest percentage of homeowners total — it’s hard for them to not be stressed. But fine lines can also be treated as they occur, through skin revitalizing facials and skincare routines. Additionally, some opt to treat them through non-permanent fillers, as well as Botox. Your approach is really dependent on your ultimate goals.

Aging is natural, and you shouldn’t feel bad about looking older. But there is nothing wrong with fighting and preventing the signs of aging. Millennials have a lot to deal with, but with the right regimen, they don’t have to age prematurely.
