Work In Progress and Market Info!

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

I’ve mentioned the upcoming market a couple of times now, if you’re in the DFW area of Texas, if might just be worth your drive to Bowie’s Trade Days. If May was any indication, there will easily be over 250 vendors! Everything from handmade items to bottle collectors to fresh-baked bread to antiques and anything else you could possibly imagine! I’m working hard on a new set up design + getting new things ready to go! I’m really hoping for a successful weekend and lots of sales 🙂

On to my works in progress 🙂

embroidered zippy pouches. Puppy and Giraffe. ~ busybeingjennifer.com

With so many adorable little embroidered animals and figures in my WIP pile, I decided that I needed to do something other than an embroidery hoop to show them off. And this makes them useful. I started playing with my scraps and making patchwork versions of my favorite zippie pouches 🙂 Each one is incredibly unique… even if it has the same embroidered animal or sketch, the fabrics are completely different.

new embroidery bits to add to patchwork zippy pouches

These are just some of the little embroidery bits that are waiting to be made into zippies 🙂 Half the fun for me is going through my scrap piles and planning out the patchwork for each pouch.

These are just 2 of the many, many hoops that I’ve been working on 🙂 I have a definite obsession with sock monkey’s and there is something so fun,yet elegant about an antique-y sewing machine!

I hope you’ll pop on by next week for another sneak peak of my market prep! Oh and if you do come and find me at market ( June 8 & 9th) tell me you’re a blog reader and I’ll have something special for you! Woot Woot!
