101 in 1001 Project

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

I’m a list loving fool. Its true… very true! I’ve inspired by my friend Carrie from the Bitsy Button to create a super list! a 101 in 1001 list!

101 in 1001 Project on BusyBeingJennifer.com

What exactly is a 101 in 1001 list? Well… its a project that was originally inspired by Design Darling and has now taken on a life of its own at DayZeroProject.com.

The Details -> Complete 101 tasks in 1,001 days (2.75 years). Most of the tasks are not focused on money or material purchases, but more on the experiences I want to have in my life. Some are realistic goals like learning spanish or train for a 5k. Others are more whimsical, like going on a winery tour or go on a girls weekend away. I’m going to up the ante a little bit… for every task I complete I’m going to put $10 in a special account so that I can go on an extra special trip with my hubby in 2.75 years! 🙂

Why? -> Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities. So 101 tasks in 1001 days it is!

This sounds like so much fun, but I'm horrible at these kind of lists! I do have a life bucket list, but I barely even keep up with that one! Ha! I hope you accomplish all of these things! #91 is my favorite, especially since it's from my favorite movie!! 😉

This is a really ambitious list, but I know you can do it! A while back I created a Life List through Camp Mighty and since then I've gotten SO many things done! Writing it down makes a HUGE difference. Good luck! I'll be following along. 🙂

I like the idea behind this project! I also love several of the items in your "explore" category and the fact that you actually want to make the stuff you pin! LOL

I did this project a few years ago and got a little over 50% done. I should try again. Good luck with yours!

I used to have one of these lists and ended up not following it very well! Maybe I need to revisit it
